+ Lilian and her friends hired all 3 Pod sites, so she was free to fly her drone. We love her eye for capturing New Zealand at its best, and she shows a great view of the Pod sites and the distance they are from each other.

+ Booking all 3 Pod sites is a great idea for friends to come and enjoy each others company, but then being able to retreat to your own private site as you wish.

Lilians experience of her stay at our Pods is found here https://www.lilianpang.com/tewepu-bankspeninsula/

“Such an incredibly special spot; you've created a magical place for us all to experience. The hamper was amazing and really appreciated the brownie Millie made for TJ's birthday.

Would love to come back!"

"Where to even begin? We spent the past two nights at Te Wepu to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I have no idea how we’re ever going to top it. I think I’m in love with the place. No, I KNOW I am. We both are. From first arrival - we were greeted by Kate (who had a freshly baked cob loaf filled with dip in her arms warm and ready for us!) The track was full of bird life - my favorite being the little fan tails darting about and showing off which may have been why we were so distracted. At the top we met Richie who had already unloaded our bags and got the hot tub going for us, he stayed for a chat and explained how to work everything including the awesome bioloo so we could pee in style (and pure comfort!) We spent the first night tucking into some absolute delights - including the fresh cob loaf (oh my godddd!), some Barry’s bay cheese and homemade seed crackers (also made by Kate - also amazing) as well as a good amount of other snacks we brought along. After a dip in the hot tub and a good laugh at the kereru which were doing some kind of dive bombing from the surrounding trees we waited for darkness in the hopes of some stargazing - unfortunately for us as the sun set the clouds took over, so we resigned to our (extremely comfortable) double bed. About 5am nature called and so I decided to make a trip to the loo. On opening the pod door I was greeted with a full display of the Milky Way. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve seen the stars so clearly and so I woke Tom up and we sat outside on the bean bags under the alpaca blanket (warmest blanket I’ve ever used) just staring at them and even got to see a shooting star. We decided to stay up for sunrise (I’m absolutely not a morning person but I just had to) and so we made ourselves a nice hot drink with the gas kettle and cosied up! It did not disappoint - along with the sunrise came a beautiful dawn chorus of natives, encored by cicadas. By 8am we tucked into breakfast - cooked breakfast for Tom with some free range eggs from the farm and Kate’s muesli for me with honey also from the farm. I honestly feel like we died and went to heaven. We landed ourselves some stunner weather with 27 degrees and blue skies. We finished the evening by cooking up a meal on the gas stove and bbq and enjoying some wine in the hot tub which we had stoked all day to get it nice and hot. At Night we listened to a morepork calling and Mother Nature treated us once again with a full moon which bounced off the bay below and lit everything up. Thank you for the best 2 days I think we’ve ever had. Oh and of course we are going to try our luck with the photo competition because what is a trip away without some insta worthy pictures?"

"The most beautiful spot, thank you for the perfect weekend, AND we got engaged!!"

"If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing idyllic get-away for a night or two then stop looking and book this place now. We had the most amazing experience staying in the Ruru pod. Right from the moment we were greeted by Kate and Richie and their family we knew it was going to be special and it absolutely was. I don't have the words to properly describe the experience we had or our stay, other than to say that we will be back many more times in the future.
The location and facilities are so perfect that you get a real appreciation of just how beautiful New Zealand is. The pods themselves are well designed and built brilliantly. Even though it was an extremely hot day (Over 30 degrees) the pod with the bed remained cool throughout the day and night. Being able to relax in your own private, wood fire heated hot tub is an experience not to be missed, especially when it's combined with a view overlooking the harbour.
We decided to get the BBQ hamper with the stay and that was a great decision, with fresh produce including steak, Crayfish and locally produced wine it was well supplied and added that extra bit of luxury comfort. We cannot wait to get back and have started planning our next night away to this little slice of New Zealand paradise."

“Wow what an experience. This was a surprise birthday for my husband and it was truly lovely that everything was thought of. From the gorgeous hamper to the champagne - it was delux. Truly incredible stay and a birthday to remember. We will be back.”

"MUST STAY! Te Wepu - intrepid pod retreats is out of this world stunning and just 1 hour from Christchurch! Looking over the Banks Peninsula, this is the ultimate place to unwind, unplug and recharge. Watching the sunrise, sunset and the stars is a definite highlight to our stay. The wood-fired hot tub is a great accessory for a night or early AM dip in the summer (would be perfect for all day winter weather!) The optional food hamper to make your alfresco dining experience that little bit more special is all locally sourced (most of it from their own farm! Including Kate’s infamous cob loaf and is enough to last throughout the two nights and days. We are in LOVE with this place and will without a doubt be back for winter treat! A truly special place to spend your weekend. Cheers to Richie & Kate for creating such an awesome place to make special memories."
